The Auckland Miniature Horse Club was founded in 1996 by a
group of enthusiasts that had a common interest in Miniature Horses.
The club has grown since then to over 106 members in 2001. Today the
number continues to soar with more people finding the Miniature Horse a
part of their lives.
AMHC is affiliated to the NZMHA and welcomes all Miniature Horse owners to the club. AMHC committee are elected at the Annual General Meeting. All members are encouraged to attend meetings and contribute their time and talents. A newsletter is published for the membership. AMHC members raise and show some of the finest horses in the country. Showing both locally and nationally, they have made their mark on the Miniature Horse industry. Having a Miniature to love and care for rewards those that do not show. The Miniature Horse offers something for everyone. To help educate members and others, AMHC holds clinics, usually during winter. Many interesting and informative topics are offered, as well as the opportunity for fellowship with other Miniature Horse owners. AMHC supports several rewarding programmes. The NZMHA Hi-Point programmes recognise accomplishments in the show ring, and the NZMHA Gelding Incentive offers monetary rewards for the show success of geldings.
